The Open.Video plugin allows you to embed videos from Open.Video using a widget, a custom block with playback settings (like float and autoplay), or a simple [openvideo] shortcode anywhere on your site. You can easily add videos to your posts or pages by pasting an Open.Video link and configuring your preferred settings.

In addition to embedding, the plugin supports channel hosting: it can serve Open.Video channel content directly from your WordPress site under a configurable path (e.g., /openvideo/), making your site act as a proxy for Open.Video channels. The channel path can be refreshed from the plugin settings.

This plugin does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data from users or site visitors. All external requests are strictly for video embedding and channel hosting functionality, and no analytics or tracking is performed.

This plugin connects to the following external services to provide its core functionality:

1. Open.Video API (https://g.ezoic.net/)

   • Purpose: Used to proxy and serve Open.Video channel content and video embeds directly from your WordPress site.
   • Data sent: Requests include the requested channel path, your site URL as a referer, and standard HTTP headers. No personal user data is sent.
   • When: Every time a user visits a proxied Open.Video channel or embedded video on your site.
   • Terms: Open.Video Terms of Service, Open.Video Privacy Policy

2. Open.Video Publisher API (https://api.open.video/api/wp-plugin/v1/)

   • Purpose: Used to sync and refresh your site’s Open.Video channel path and configuration.
   • Data sent: Your site domain is sent as a query parameter. No personal user data is sent.
   • When: On plugin activation and when manually refreshing the channel path from the plugin settings.

3. Open.Video JavaScript Player (https://open.video/video.js)

   • Purpose: Loads the video player script required for video playback and embedding.
   • Data sent: Standard browser requests for the script file. No personal user data is sent.
