- When: On every page load (widget config), on cart operations, and on WooCommerce order/status events

- Upload the
oomatesfolder to/wp-content/plugins/or install via the WordPress plugin screen - Activate the plugin through the “Plugins” menu
- Open the oomates menu in your WordPress admin and enter your secret key (starts with
cpd_sk_) - The chat widget will appear on your store automatically

- WooCommerce 5.0 or later (optional — required only for cart, order, and automation features)

Do I need a oomates account?

Does the plugin work without WooCommerce?

The chat widget itself will load on any WordPress site, so oomates can still serve as a conversational assistant for service-based businesses. However, e-commerce features — cart integration, product search, order tracking, discount rules, and marketing automations — require WooCommerce to be installed and active.

Can I customize the widget appearance?

Yes. You can adjust the bubble position (horizontal and vertical offset) from the plugin settings page. Colors, avatar, and welcome messages are configured in your oomates dashboard.
