B-Timeline is a liteweight WordPress plugin that lets you create and display timeline in any Posts / Pages/ Widget .The plugin is very easy to use and anyone can use the plugin easily without any technical knowledge.

This section describes how to install the plugin and get it working.
e.g.
- Upload
plugin-directoryto the/wp-content/plugins/directory - Activate the plugin through the ‘Plugins’ menu in WordPress
- Use shortcode in page, post or in widgets.
- If you want player in your theme php, Place

Easy to use and works fine; just: Paragraphs are being stripped, which is quite annoying. And: some parts cannot be customized color wise (as e.g. the arrow borders and the circles) respectively must be customized separately via CSS and by adding !important.

It's the only one I found with the horizontal option, but I didn't find how to add pictures or change the family font.

It works nicely in a horizontal orientation and we could fully customize it to match our sites style.

This is one of the plugins that makes exactly what you expect from it.
Easy to configure, simple and straightforward with a reasonable number of options.
Also, it works under WP 5.9.2 even if it is not officially stated.
