ATS Moknah – Text to Speech, AI Voice & Audio Player

外掛說明

ATS Moknah is a text to speech plugin for WordPress that turns your posts, pages and articles into natural AI voice audio. Add a “Listen to the article” audio player to every post, highlight each word as it is read, and see how many readers listen with built-in audio analytics.

Built by Moknah, an Arabic-first AI voice platform, ATS Moknah delivers some of the most natural Arabic text to speech available for WordPress, including Gulf, Egyptian, Levantine and Maghrebi dialects, alongside English and other languages. With over 95 different AI voices supporting multiple Arabic dialects and multiple languages, you can deliver content that resonates with your diverse audience in their preferred voice and language.

API Key Required

To use ATS Moknah, you need an API key from Moknah.io.

⚠️ Important: register with an email on your website’s domain. Company access can only be requested from an account whose email domain matches the company website. For https://yourcompany.com, register with an address like you@yourcompany.com. Accounts using Gmail, Outlook, Yahoo or another domain cannot submit the request.

  1. Create an account at moknah.io using your company email (see above).
  2. Open Request Company Access and submit your company name and website.
  3. Wait for your company to be approved.
  4. After approval, manage your API key from your Moknah account and paste it into Settings ATS Moknah Moknah API Key.

Privacy & Data Usage

ATS Moknah sends post title/content to the Moknah TTS API only when audio generation is requested.

ATS Moknah stores generated audio metadata and analytics events in your WordPress database.

Analytics may use anonymized identifiers (for example: salted visitor hash, salted IP hash, masked IP, truncated user-agent) to support deduplication and reporting.

When country headers are unavailable, the plugin may call ipapi.co to resolve a 2-letter country code.

If listener feedback is enabled, visitors can rate the audio in the player. Their vote, chosen reasons, optional comment, the voice and device type are stored in your WordPress database with a salted visitor hash (no IP address); nothing is sent to Moknah.

If an administrator chooses to send feedback from the plugin’s rating card, the message, star rating, site URL, plugin/WordPress/PHP versions and (only if they allow it) their email address are emailed to Moknah. Nothing is sent unless they click Send feedback.

For your site’s full policy text, WordPress provides a detailed template in Settings Privacy Privacy Policy Guide.

Additional Information

Multilingual Implementation Note

ATS Moknah does not automatically manage multilingual posts.
Language detection and multilingual management are the responsibility of the site and its developers.

⚠️ Conflicts only occur if multiple language versions of a post share the same post ID.
To prevent overwriting audio, generate a unique TTS identifier per language.

常見問題集

Do I need an API key?

Yes. Register at moknah.io with an email on your website’s domain (e.g. you@yourcompany.com), submit the Request Company Access form, and once your company is approved you can create and manage your API key from your Moknah account. See API Key Required above.

How much does the API cost?

Contact sales@moknah.io for pricing information and plans.

How does the Analytics tracking work?

The plugin tracks player events (impressions, plays, duration listened, and completions) through a protected and rate-limited REST endpoint using a signed tracking token. Events are then aggregated in your WordPress database for reporting.

What languages and dialects are supported?

ATS Moknah supports multiple languages with over 95 different AI voices. We offer extensive support for Arabic dialects including Gulf, Egyptian, Levantine, Maghrebi, and more. Contact sales@moknah.io for a complete list of available languages, dialects, and voices.

Can I use different voices for different posts?

Yes! Each post can be configured with its own voice, language, and dialect settings.

Does it work with all post types?

Yes. In Settings ATS Moknah Display Settings, choose which public post types (posts, pages, custom post types) get ATS. You can also choose the player position for each post type: top of content, bottom of content, or before/after any element you choose by CSS selector (e.g. .entry-meta).

Can I use this on multiple sites?

API key usage terms depend on your agreement with Moknah. Contact sales@moknah.io for multi-site licensing.

How do I enable speech for a post?

  1. Create or edit a post (or any enabled post type)
  2. Find the ATS Options box in the editor sidebar
  3. Turn on Enable Text-to-Speech
  4. Turn on AI preprocessing if desired
  5. Select your preferred voice and listen to the preview
  6. Save your edits, then click Generate Audio
  7. You’ll be notified by email when the audio is ready (if enabled in settings)

Can I customize the audio player design?

Yes. Go to ATS Moknah Player Design:

  • Change colors (dark and light themes), texts, icons, default states, and Car Mode options with a live preview.
  • Start from a built-in preset, including the Pro presets (Aurora Card, Waveform, Editorial, Vinyl, Island).
  • Open Custom CSS:
    • Additional CSS – add your own rules on top of the player styles. One-click buttons insert selectors for common parts of the player.
    • Player stylesheet – click Customize stylesheet to edit or remove any built-in rule. Your copy replaces the plugin’s stylesheet after you publish; Reset to default restores it.
  • Save your design as a preset, then Publish to apply it on your site.

Tip: start rules with #mk-mp-d1 so they only affect the player. While the player is playing, it has the class mk-mp-is-playing.

Where do I put the player on the page?

In Settings ATS Moknah Display Settings, each enabled post type has its own position:

  • Top of content (default)
  • Bottom of content
  • Before a custom element / After a custom element – enter a CSS selector such as .entry-meta, #post-title or .wp-block-post-featured-image. The first match on the page is used. If nothing matches, the player shows at the top of the content.

What happens when audio generation fails?

The ATS Options box shows a clear error card: what went wrong (for example not enough credits, API key rejected, timed out, could not reach Moknah), what to do next, and the technical details. Existing audio stays live on the post, and you can click Try Again.

Is there a limit on article length?

Limitations depend on your API plan. Contact Moknah for details.

How does the plugin handle multilingual posts?

ATS Moknah does not automatically manage multilingual posts. Language detection and multilingual management are the responsibility of the site and its developers.

To prevent audio conflicts when multiple language versions share the same post ID, generate a unique TTS identifier per language. See the documentation for implementation details.

Where is the audio stored?

Audio files are generated by the Moknah TTS API and delivered via callback. Storage details depend on your API configuration.

How long does audio generation take?

Audio generation time depends on article length and API load. You’ll receive an email notification when generation is complete (if enabled).

變更記錄

1.4.1

  • New: “Get an API key” links and step-by-step help in Settings and the post editor (register on Moknah.io, request company access, paste the key), with a clear warning that your Moknah account email must use your website’s domain.
  • New: notice on ATS Moknah screens when a new version is available, with one-click update (or a note when auto-updates are on).
  • New: one-time “What’s new” notice after updating.
  • New: in-plugin star rating, on ATS Moknah screens and in the post editor right after audio is ready. 4–5 stars can be shared on WordPress.org in one click (sign-in lands directly on the review form); 1–3 stars open a private feedback form sent to the Moknah team, no account needed.
  • New: “Rate” and “Get API key” links on the Plugins screen.
  • New: Listener Feedback. After listening to half of an article, readers can answer “How was this audio?” in the player (good / not good, reasons like pronunciation or speed, optional comment). Results are stored on your site and shown under ATS Moknah Listener Feedback, with satisfaction per article, top issues, recent comments and CSV export. Can be turned off in Settings.
  • New: Listener Feedback filters – date range (7/30/90 days, all time or custom dates), article search, sorting (most “Not good”, most responses, lowest/highest satisfaction, most recent), minimum responses, and for comments: reason, device, “with comment” and text search. Bulk delete and CSV export follow the filters.
  • Improved: Listener Feedback is built for large sites (hundreds of thousands of articles, millions of votes) using running totals, paginated lists and a daily clean-up of old plain “Good” votes (retention setting; totals, “Not good” votes and comments are always kept).
  • New: admin translations for Hindi, Spanish, French, Chinese (Simplified), Japanese, Russian, German, Portuguese (Brazil), Turkish, Indonesian, Urdu, Persian, Korean and Italian.
  • Improved: complete Arabic translation, including the post editor messages.
  • Improved: clearer plugin name and description.
