The developer is responsive and the plugin works like a charm. This is by far the most straightforward Font Awesome plugin for WordPress.

Exactly it's what i wanted, Font awesome icon locally loaded. Please keep it updated. I don't know why 10k active people but very less review. Really great work guys, keep it up. 👍👍

Works great (especially, if you know how HTML and CSS) and it is constantly updated to be compatible with the latest WordPress.

This even works with the default tags i.e. <i class="fas fa-stroopwafel fa-lg"></i> and it loads the fontawesome icons locally, from your own server. That's what you want because CDN's require data processing agreements and stuff like that. This is way easier, lightweight and simple.
Edit: Hmm, doesn't seem to work on all my sites.. o.O
