How It Works

Enter your OpenRouter API key in plugin settings.
The plugin scans the media library for images missing ALT text.
Preview and select the images you want to optimize.
Provide an optional SEO keyword.
Click “Generate AI ALT Text”.
The plugin sends the image URL and keyword to the AI service.
ALT text is generated and saved automatically.

Data Sent:

– Administrator-provided keyword

When Data Is Sent:
– Only when an administrator manually triggers ALT generation.

安裝方式

Automatic Installation (Recommended)

Log in to your WordPress dashboard and navigate to Plugins -> Add New.
Search for Walstar AI Image ALT Generator in the search bar.
Click Install Now and then Activate.

Manual Installation

Download the plugin .zip file from the WordPress repository.
Go to Plugins -> Add New -> Upload Plugin and upload the .zip file.
Click Install Now and then Activate.

Getting Started

Once activated, navigate to Media -> AI ALT Optimizer in your dashboard.
Enter your OpenRouter API key in the API Settings field and click Save API Key.
(Get your free API key at https://openrouter.ai/)
The plugin will automatically scan your media library and list all images missing ALT text.
Use Select All or check individual images you want to optimize.
Optionally enter an SEO Keyword to guide the AI for better results.
Click Generate AI ALT Text — ALT text is saved automatically to each image.
Verify results anytime via Media Library -> click any image -> check the Alternative Text field.

Does this plugin overwrite existing ALT text?: No. It only generates ALT text for images that do not already have ALT attributes.
Is an API key required?: Yes. You must provide your own OpenRouter API key to use AI generation features.
Does this plugin collect personal data?: No. The plugin does not collect or store personal data.
Does this plugin send data externally?: Yes. The image URL and keyword are sent to OpenRouter API only when manually triggered.
