Trancelantic Playlist displays the songs you are playing on your media player to your website. You could also display a list of your recently played songs. It can also show a collection of the album covers from the songs you listened.

One widget for

  • your current track
  • list of your last tracks
  • cover gallery of your last tracks

Supported Media Player

You need to have a last.fm account. last.fm will grab/scrobble all needed data from spotify, apple music, etc. and display it for you wherever you need it on your website, thanks to its widget.

安裝方式

  1. Upload the plugin files to the /wp-content/plugins/trancelantic-playlist directory, or install the plugin zip file through the WordPress Plugin Directly.
  2. Activate the plugin through the ‘Plugins’ screen in WordPress.
  3. Drag and drop a widget on your page.
  4. Insert your lastFM username in the widget admin box.

It's wild to me that Spotify and LastFM haven't developed their own plugins for WordPress! In my hunt, I came across this and installed it. I like that I can choose between showing individual tracks or album covers. I prefer the album covers, but I wish that they actually linked back to either my LastFM profile or to the pages that say more about the artist, album, or track. As is, it's information that I know about who/what that album cover represents, but the site visitor is left to guess. It is also problematic that album covers show with duplication. If you listen to a full album, the same cover displays multiple times. Again, it's a nice start! I hope the developer continues to tweak it so that it becomes the tool that LastFM or Spotify should have developed themselves!
