If you’re looking for a no frills back to top button that works, this is it. It offers plenty of customization all things considered. It’s only 172kb in size, which is a fraction of the size of others. The best thing about this plugin is that it works super well with no tuning required on a website that is heavily speed optimized. I tried two other back to top plugins including another lightweight and one advanced one, and both didn’t work unless I added delay javascript exceptions, sometimes multiple, and thus adding more requests to my pageload. This one, I installed, changed the color to match my theme, and that was it. Good stuff!

No fancy fonts or images to choose from or bloated scripts, just does the job neatly and cleanly. Returns to top of very long pages quickly without the irritating blur you find elsewhere, even on smartphone screens.
