Important
This will not compress images already in your Media Library! It will only work on newly uploaded images.

Clone the directory into your mu-plugins. The plugin will be active automatically and start compressing new images as they are uploaded.

- Upload
pbc-image-compress.phpto the/wp-content/plugins/directory - Activate the plugin through the ‘Plugins’ menu in WordPress

You probably don’t have the needed ImageCompression Libraries installed on your server. If you have access to your server they are quite easy to install. if you are on a shared host then please ask your webhost to install them

Plugin is incomplete, sends all file types to jpegoptim rather than the correct respective tool. Requires you to install composer packages but no composer.json included. If you get past those two problems, there is an infinite loop.

One of our galleries was taking over three minutes to load until we installed this plugin….
Went down to less than 3 seconds.
