I cannot enable gzip compression
"Gzip compression seems not to be working. Perhaps mod_deflate module is not active."

I used and it worked fine. I got an instant result in PageSpeed inside score.

tells me some mod deflate "might" be inactive. not a 1 click plugin, not working for me.

No complaints here. Brought my GTmetrix Pagespeed score from 50 to 92 just by installing this plugin and turning on compression.
